The School of Music and the School of Theatre and Dance present the beloved musical Guys and Dolls. The classic musical is famous for its toe-tapping tunes and jazzy dance numbers and runs February 28 and March 3-6 at 7:30 p.m. and February 29 and March 1 at 2 p.m.
The Fall Dance concert will feature a series of faculty choreographed dance pieces along with two works by guest-artists from Cyprus, Dara Milovanovic and Alexander Michael.
Set in, and inspired by, Reading, Pennsylvania, a town long fueled by steel mills, coal mines, the railroad, and factory work, SWEAT follows the story of a close group of friends and is centered in the bar where they have shared many drinks and moments.
A tale of love and mistaken identity infused with humor, “Twelfth Night” will be presented at the Center for the Performing Arts Theatre at 7:30 p.m. October 25-26 and 29-31, and November 1-2, and October 27 at 2 p.m.
The School of Theatre and Dance will produce Federico García Lorca’s final play, THE HOUSE OF BERNARDA ALBA, in an adaptation by renowned American playwright and director Emily Mann, October 4-12.
The new film “Imprisoned,” starring Laurence Fishburne, Juana Acosta, and Juan Pablo Raba, will have a special advance screening on Thursday, September 26, at 3:30 p.m. at the Normal Theater.

Artist and alumna Wonsook Kim ’75, M.A. ’76, M.F.A. ’78, honorary doctorate of arts ’19, and her husband, Thomas Clement, have made a $12 million gift to Illinois State in support of the College of Fine Arts and the School of Art.
