The Department of Special Education’s Paraprofessionals Unlocking Licensure in Special Education (PULSE) program has created an active community since it was launched in May 2023. One year later, program organizers hosted the first PULSE Day on May 18th, 2024 to welcome new and current students to campus for a day of professional development and community building.

Dr. Allison Kroesch named Special Education Graduate Program Coordinator

The Special Education Department (SED) at Illinois State University is proud to announce that Dr. Allison M. Kroesch has taken on a new role as the Graduate Program Coordinator. In this position, she will work closely with current and prospective students looking to further their education, as well as develop SED’s graduate programs to better meet the needs of these students.
