Early childhood professor Dr. Miranda Lin was awarded a grant of more than $910,000 by the Illinois Board of Higher Education to support the ongoing education of early childhood teachers. The first cohort will graduate in August with a master’s degree after completing the 15-month online grant-funded program.

School of Teaching and Learning students gain invaluable experience in non-traditional student teaching programs
Three recently graduated education majors took advantage of the PDS and Study Abroad programs offered by the School of Teaching and Learning. The PDS program gives senior education students a year-long experience in a public school that replaces the 16-week student-teaching semester. The Study Abroad student teaching program is an eight-week experience.
