During the 2020 Census, Redbirds should be counted in Normal, Illinois, and not at their permanent addresses. An accurate Census count helps ensure that both the Town of Normal and McLean County receive the federal funding they need to support the infrastructure used by Illinois State students.

Redbirds reflect on poverty and privilege during spring break service

Redbirds provide hurricane relief during spring break
North Carolina’s Pamlico County was devastated by Hurricane Florence in September of 2018. The area is still struggling to rebuild. A group of Redbirds used their Spring Break to help with those efforts.
Redbirds form friendships while volunteering at animal shelter
Nine students and two staff members completed 400 hours of service at Humane Tomorrow, an organization building a new animal shelter facility near Dallas, Texas. The trip was organized by the Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program at the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning.
