Two cadets participated in Army ROTC’s National Commissioning Ceremony

In today’s coronavirus (COVID-19) environment of social distancing and physical isolation, United States Army Cadet Command remains focused on meeting the needs of our nation by commissioning strong and agile leaders of character for our Army. On June 12, Cadet Command will conduct the largest ever National Commissioning Ceremony for more than 1,000 cadets from across the nation. These cadets have completed the requirements to become Second Lieutenants in the United States Army, and being selected to participate in the ceremony is a prestigious honor.

Redbird legacy: Like father, like son

Illinois State freshman Jalen Love learned early on the value of going to college and pursuing a degree. His parents, Larry and Betty Love, were both first-generation college students who found a home at the University.
