It is that time of the year when students and teachers are wrapping up the final semester before summer. Their days are stressful, and it feels like they cannot get a break. Luckily, there is a free event coming to Normal that should relieve this stress.
Dr. Lindsey Thomas was named the recipient of the 2022 Leslie A. Baxter Early Career Award by the Family Communication Division of the National Communication Association (NCA).

Winning a national award is a pretty big deal, especially when there are over 1,600 entries from across the country in the various categories. That is exactly what Sydni Stoffregen did. Stoffregen, a mass media major focused on television production, won the “Best in Festival” award in the Student Script Writing Competition for the 2023
Allie Keck ’16 saw her life going in one of two directions last year. She expected to be waiting tables or performing on NBC’s 23rd season of The Voice.
The Department of Chemistry’s Dr. Christopher C. Mulligan will deliver the Spring College of Arts and Sciences Lecture with “Pushing the Boundaries of Chemical Identification with Mass Spectrometry.” The lecture is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
An open house and forum on March 22, will include candidates for Bloomington City Council, Normal Town Council, and area school boards.
In March 2023, nine members of the Illinois State University Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) traveled to Chicago to attend the PReLevated conference.
