Julie (Boyd) Navickas’ evolving hobby as a romance novelist has been a decade in the making. When the three-time alum and current School of Communication academic advisor was an organizational communication graduate student at Illinois State, she enrolled in a scriptwriting class.

Publications Unit Alumni Showcase featuring Anya Malley ’17
Anya Malley ’17 is an alum of Illinois State University’s Department of English who received their Bachelor of Arts through the publishing studies program. During their time at the University, they gained hands-on experience at the Publications Unit, and now they are an associate editor at Learning for Justice.
