Decipher History: Explore the past through letters and diaries

Reading other people’s diaries and mail might be frowned upon by many, but not by Milner Library’s Special Collections Librarian, Maureen Brunsdale. Of course, the letters and diaries she peruses are over 100 years old, and part of the Decipher History project.

To celebrate ISU’s Homecoming this month, the ISU Archives has installed a new exhibit on the first floor of Milner Library that showcases some great historic mascot ephemera and memorabilia. Visitors to the exhibit will also get to see the retired feathers of their favorite mascot on full display.

Japanese-style tattoo artists Steve McClintock will discuss his work in an upcoming talk titled “HORIMONO: A Retropective of Japanese Tattoo form Past to Present” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, on the 6th floor of Milner Library.
