The decryption of hidden messages and locating of secret files is often relegated to the likes of hackers on the silver screen, but Illinois State University was the site of such computer practices during State Farm’s Capture the Flag cybersecurity challenge.

During the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) Annual Conference in Kansas City, Missouri on November 7-9, 2018, Brandon Khoury ’17, M.S. ’18 and Manan Shah placed first in the student poster competition for their research poster, “The Future of Learning Using Virtual Reality to Teach Industrial Robotics.”
The event sponsors seven different divisions of competitions. The Department of Technology’s commercial competition team placed first.
Twenty graphic communications students, along with faculty Professor of Technology Dan Wilson and Adam Burke, attended LabelExpo Americas 2018, the largest conference and convention for the label and package printing industry in North America.
