Performing artist Jennifer Lisa Vest will address the 20th annual Women’s and Gender Studies (WGS) Symposium on April 17 with “Black Lives Matter: [Trans]Gendered Violence, Disability, and Women in a ‘Post-racial,’ ‘Post-Sexist’ Present.”
Illinois State University is proud to announce its first Lavender Graduation, a ceremony that celebrates the accomplishments and success of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ), and allied students completing their degrees.
“Outsourcing Surrogate Motherhood to India” will be the topic of a presentation by Alison Bailey, director of Illinois State University’s Women’s and Gender Studies program, on Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 12-1 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Third Floor East Lounge.
