Kristin Dykstra, ENG, edited Mandorla: New Writing from the Americas/Nueva escritura de las Américas. The name of the magazine, Mandorla, describing a space created by two intersecting circles, alludes to the notion of exchange and imaginative dialogue that is necessary now among the Americas. After a hiatus of several years, Mandorla returned with issue #7 under the direction of Dr. Kristin Dykstra. Most recently the journal has been co-edited by Gabriel Bernal Granados, Kristin Dykstra, and Roberto Tejada.

Mike Fanucce, University Housing, co-authored The Relationship of Homonegativity to LGBT Students and Non-LGBT Students’ Perceptions of Residence Hall Climate in the ACUHO-I Journal of College and University Student Housing in May 2010. The article was awarded the prestigious honor of the Betty L. Harrah Journal Manuscript of the Year.

Hyun SookKang, ENG, wrote The Relative Efficacy of Explicit and Implicit Feedback in the Learning of a Less-Commonly-Taught Foreign Language, which was published in the October 2009 issue of IRAL – International Review of Applied Linguistics in Language Teaching.

Krishna Manavalli, ENG, authored South India is India: The Tensions between Nationalism and Regionalism in Raja Rao’s The Serpent and the Rope, which was published in the September/October 2009 issue of South Asian Review.
