“Assessing the Impact of the Conflict between Iran and the West on the Global Oil Market” will be the subject of a presentation by Hadi Salehi Esfahani on Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 12-1 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Third Floor East Lounge. The event is free and open to the public.
Esfahani is a professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His teaching and research focus on theoretical and empirical issues in the political economy of development and the role of country institutions in the formation and reform of fiscal, trade, and regulatory policies. He is editor-in-chief of the Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance and president of the Middle East Economic Association.
His presentation is part of Illinois State University’s International Studies Seminar Series exploring topics in global politics and culture. The seminar series is organized by the Unit for International Linkages, Office of International Studies and Programs, and the Women’s Studies Program.
