The Illinois State University Wind Symphony will premiere two new major works in a concert on Thursday, Nov. 18, at 8 p.m. in the University’s Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall. General admission is $8, $7 for faculty and staff and $6 for students and senior citizens.

The program will include Symphony No. 3 by Carlos Franzetti, a Latin Grammy Award- winning composer and arranger from Buenos Aires, Argentina; and O Earth, O Stars, music for flute, cello, and wind ensemble by David Maslanka. O Earth, O Stars will feature Illinois State School of Music faculty members Kim Risinger, flute, and Adriana La Rosa Ransom, cello.
