PINK game scheduled February 12 to support the Kay Yow Fund

Evening planned to raise breast cancer awareness and recognize cancer survivors

As a 15-year assistant coach under Kay Yow at North Carolina State, Illinois State head women’s basketball coach Stephanie Glance is personally aware of the fight against breast cancer. Yow lost her courageous battle in 2009, but Glance and Illinois State Athletics will continue the fight with a PINK game to support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund on February 12. The Redbirds will host Missouri State at 1:05 p.m.

The purpose of the events surrounding the game will be to raise awareness for breast cancer and other women’s health issues. There will also be halftime recognition of all cancer survivors in attendance, as well as an opportunity to learn about Coach Yow and her vision for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
