Joseph Johnson, principal cellist of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, will lead a cello master class on Friday, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m. in Illinois State University’s Kemp Recital Hall. Admission is free and refreshments will be served following. The event is hosted by the Peoria Symphony Guild.
As a soloist, Johnson has thrilled music lovers from Carnegie Hall to Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Hall and at music festivals around the world. Currently in his debut season as the Toronto Symphony’s principal cellist, he is also principal cellist of the Santa Fe Opera.
