Alternative Spring Break

Spring break memories are still fresh in the minds of students, especially those who took their week from classes to participate in Alternative Spring Break. More than 1,000 students have been involved in the program since it began in 2000.

There were 225 this year helping communities in Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and New Jersey.

A group from a 2010 trip to Mullens, West Virginia, right, benefited from the experience that takes students beyond their comfort zone.
