Safe Zone orientation sessions for faculty, staff and students will be held on Thursday, Sept. 8, and Wednesday, Oct. 12, from noon to 2 p.m. in 375 Student Services Building. Participants can register online.
In an effort to provide support to Illinois State’s gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender (GLBT) community, the Dean of Students Office has created Safe Zone. Safe Zone provides safe spaces on campus that are highly visible and easily identifiable to GLBT persons where support and understanding is the key, and where bigotry and discrimination are not tolerated.
