Photos: Bone Student Center, then and now

Students outside Bone Student Center 1973

Students walk past the student union in October 1973. It was later renamed Bone Student Center.

The Bone Student Center and Braden Auditorium turn 40 this year, and plans are under way to celebrate the anniversary.

To help mark four decades of student life moving through the “Gateway to Campus,” the STATEside crew asked the Dr. Jo Ann Rayfield Archives for some help tracking down some historic photos. Check those out below.

Student employees, interns, and volunteers who served on various Bone and Braden boards and committees over the years have been key to their success. Alumni who worked at Bone or Braden are invited to join a special email list for 40th anniversary updates. Update your contact information on the Alumni Association website, and we’ll add you to the list. (This includes former Bowling and Billiards Center staffers and/or those who participated on the union board, student center board or bowling team.)
