Career Center introduces Career Resource Guide

As a centralized campus resource for career education and development, the Career Center is pleased to provide Illinois State students and alumni with free online access to the Career Resource Guide. The Guide provides helpful job search tips and advice to help readers be successful as they plan for their career or job search.

The Career Resource Guide includes valuable information on how to choose a major, to create a career plan and strategies for starting a job search, to promote yourself to an employer, to be successful in an interview, and to identify if graduate school is right for you.

The Career Resource Guide is funded through advertisements from recruiters seeking Illinois State talent and through Career Center partners. “The Career Center is extremely appreciative of the financial support we receive from our partners and friends,” Career Center Director Stephen Cantine said. “Their support enhances the many career development and job search programs and services we provide to Illinois State students and alumni. We are proud to extend our appreciation for their quality investment and strong interest to connect with Illinois State.”

Employers interested in advertising in future editions of the Guide or hiring a Redbird should contact Cantine.
