Want to incorporate ReggieNet into your teaching? Need to brush up your technology skills? The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology is pleased to once again offer a wide variety of technology-oriented workshops for faculty and staff.

CTLT’s Short Courses offer professional development across disciplines and careers. Workshops focus on various types of software or online applications necessary to enhance teaching, research, or office administration. True to the name, these Short Courses usually run between one and three hours—a perfect way to improve your skills with a minimum commitment of time.

In addition to classes on popular Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, CTLT offers extensive training on ReggieNet, Illinois State’s learning management system. ReggieNet courses range from introductory sessions, to advance workshops on communicating with and assessing the performance of students, to sessions about how to ensure that what you upload to ReggieNet is accessible to all students, including those with disabilities.

For complete workshop descriptions and registration, go to the Short Course webpage at CTLT.IllinoisState.edu/Courses/Short, where you will also find a handy, one-page schedule of Spring 2014 Technology Short Course events. Because Short Courses involve hands-on training in front of a computer, seating is limited, and registration is required.

Short Courses are open to faculty members, A/P staff, and civil service staff.  Graduate students may opt to join a wait list for a given course and will be notified the day before the event if a seat is available. Questions about events may be emailed to CTLT@ilstu.edu. If you need a special accommodation to fully participate in a CTLT event or workshop, call the main desk at (309) 438-2542.
