LGBTQA Alumni Network to host events during PRIDE Drag Show weekend, March 28-30

PRIDE Charity Drag Show

The LGBTQA Alumni Network will be at the annual PRIDE Charity Drag Show.

The LGBTQA Alumni Network will host a series of events over the same weekend as the annual PRIDE Charity Drag Show. Network members and supporters are invited to any and all of the events from March 28–30. Unless noted there is no fee to attend, and no preregistration necessary.

Friday, March 28

  • Welcome gathering
    Lobby of the Bloomington-Normal Marriott Hotel & Conference Center and Jesse’s Grill
    5–9 p.m.
  • Showing of Tru Loved, featuring Illinois State alum Jane Lynch ’82
    Old Main Room of the Bone Student Center
    8–9:45 p.m. A round table discussion will follow.
  • Gather and reminisce with friends
    The Bistro, 316 North Main Street, Bloomington

Saturday, March 29

  • LGBT Queer Studies Institute Open House
    Professional Development Annex, 205 South Main Street
    10 a.m.–noon
    Tour of Institute LGBT Art Collection and a round table discussion to follow.
  • Redbird softball vs. Indiana State
    Marian Kneer Softball Stadium
    2 p.m. and 4 p.m games

  • 16th Annual PRIDE Charity Drag Show
    Braden Auditorium
    7–10 p.m.
    Tickets available at Braden Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, or Ticketmaster.com, or order by phone at (800) 745-3000. For special accommodations, contact Braden Box Office at (309) 438-5444. Tickets will also be available the night of the show. Tickets cost $10 for students and $15 for the general public. All proceeds will go to charity.
  • The Exonerated
    Center for Performing Arts
    7:30 p.m.
    Contact Ticketmaster at (309) 438-2535 or at Ticketmaster.com for ticket information. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
  • Bistro Drag Show

  • LGBTQA Celebratory Brunch
    Medici, 120 North Street, Normal
    11 a.m.–1 p.m.
    $10 per person
    Come join us as we close out a wonderful weekend with a brunch! Advance registration is required for this event and it includes brunch and nonalcoholic drinks.   • New Music Festival, Symphony and Chamber Orchestra Concert

    3–5 p.m.
