Two candidates have been chosen as finalists for the director of Graduate Studies at Illinois State. Open forums for the candidates will be March 24 and 25. Both forums will be held in Stevenson Hall, room 401.

Nora Reilly’s forum will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 24. Reilly is a professor of psychology and graduate faculty at Radford University in Virginia. There, she has served as graduate program coordinator, institutional review board chair, associate dean of the graduate college and interim dean of the graduate college. She was also elected as a member of the University Academic Program Review Committee. Reilly has a doctorate in experimental social psychology from Dartmouth College.

Amy Hurd’s forum will be at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 25. Hurd is a professor in the School of Kinesiology and Recreation at Illinois State. She has served as the interim director of Illinois State’s Graduate School since December 2013, overseeing 2,300 students in 85 master’s degree, 14 doctoral degree, and 25 certificate programs. She chaired Illinois State’s NCAA Certification Gender, Diversity and Student Well Being Committee. Hurd earned a doctorate at Indiana University.
