The annual budget building process for Fiscal Year 2016 will be handled a bit differently this year.
In an effort to limit the need for technical resources and in light of an uncertain budget environment, the Build Your Budget application will not be utilized for FY2016. The Budget Office will be working with budget officers across campus in order to identify original FY2016 budgets and provide a method for making adjustments to opening budgets for the upcoming fiscal year.
“We hope to get back to using the Build Your Budget application for FY2017,” said Sandy Cavi, director of budget planning and operations. “During this demanding time for budget officers, we appreciate the planning that has already occurred and we recognize the need to focus on aligning budgets in anticipation of potential FY2016 cuts in state funding.”
