“All the world’s a stage,” Shakespeare wrote. It can also be a classroom!

Help your students sharpen critical intercultural their skills while exploring another country. This three-hour workshop, facilitated by the Office of International Studies and Programs, will present an overview of the study abroad process and its foundational concepts:

  • Learn about the factors to consider when developing a program and become familiar with learning outcomes specific to study abroad.
  • Explore the responsibilities associated with being a faculty director and learn what it takes to develop your own study abroad program.
  • Get insight from colleagues who have made it work.
  • Learn how they tied the experience abroad to the curriculum in their respective departments.
  • Discover how they got students interested and marketed their program.

Join us from 1–4 p.m. May 19 at the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology, 301 South Main Street. Seating is limited, so registration is required. Please bring the syllabus of the course you are considering leading abroad.
