To celebrate the Illinois Shakespeare Festival 2015 production and world premiere of Love’s Labor’s Won, Milner Library presents an exhibition of artwork inspired by the Great War.
The exhibit features costume renderings by costume designer Nicholas Hartman, century-old original World War I posters, and other primary sources from the Government Documents Collection.
Also on display, with special arrangement Love’s Labor’s Won playwright Scott Kaiser, is the play’s compelling prologue. Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Scott Kaiser imagines Shakespeare’s now lost sequel to Love’s Labour’s Lost reuniting the young lovers after World War I. Love’s Labour’s Lost runs until Friday, August 7, and Love’s Labor’s Won runs until Saturday, August 8. More information is available at thefestival.org.
