The Student Alumni Council (SAC) wants again to congratulate our most recent graduates. We also want to remind alumni that there are plenty of ways to stay connected to Illinois State University, including the opportunity to join an alumni network or be a part of SAC’s legacy scholarship.

Alumni networks are a vital link between alumni and the University. Networks are a way to stay connected with fellow Redbirds, stay updated on university news, and enjoy special events. Networks are found throughout the country and for a variety of interests.

Illinois State is always looking for Redbirds who are passionate about the University and ready to lead. We know many of our SAC alumni are just those kinds of people. If you find that there is not a network in your area or representing a part of Illinois State life that you loved, contact Illinois State’s Alumni Relations to discuss how to get one started.

Another opportunity to consider is making a gift to the Marion H. Dean Scholarship, SAC’s legacy scholarship. Last year’s recipients included Ashley Dierkes, a sophomore business and marketing major from Bloomington, and Teagan Thompson, a sophomore journalism major from Park Forest. Both recipients shared thanks and appreciation for the support given by fellow alumni and families to be able to receive this honor.
