The College of Business’ (COB) Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity is once again hosting the annual College of Business Olympics this Friday, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in People’s Park behind the State Farm Hall of Business. Half of the proceeds from the event will go to the Illinois Special Olympics.

The COB Olympics will consist of several competitive stations including an obstacle course, tug of war, volleyball courts, a pie eating contest, and a life-size version of the popular kid’s game, Hungry Hungry Hippos.

For $5 a person, students can join in on the fun and be a part of a 5 person team to compete for prizes including but not limited to a Gold, silver and bronze medal.  Amazon gift cards, coupons and other memorabilia will be given out as prizes as well.

Coordinators of last year’s inaugural event were pleased with a great turnout, consisting of 17 teams. This year, the business fraternity hopes to meet or exceed that level of participation for this year’s competition.

To register for the event, students and groups can visit www.dspix.net or visit the registration table by the CAT Auditorium (SFHB 139) in the College of Business which will be set up September 22-25 between the hours of 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Food will be provided, but contestants are encouraged to bring their water bottles to stay hydrated during the games.
