Assistant Professor of Chemistry Andy Mitchell will discuss the diversity and the multiplicity of uses of organic molecules this week.
Join University Club from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, October 9, in the Faculty/Staff Commons of Bone Student Center, as Mitchell takes U-Club into the world of organic molecules and gives snapshots of a few important organic molecules with some historical and sociological perspectives. The talk will commence at 4:30 p.m.
All faculty, administrative professionals, staff, retirees, and guest are welcome. Club membership is not required for attendance.
U-Club also announced the 26th annual Illinois State club Scholarship Competition. University Club scholarships provide support and recognition for selected Illinois State students who enrich the university and/or wider community through stewardship, civic engagement, and/or global citizenry. Recipients will receive $500 scholarships given in December. The application deadline is November 1.
Any officially enrolled student (undergraduate or graduate) at Illinois State University with an established GPA is eligible to apply.
