Kick off Homecoming week by helping others at the Spread the Red Blood Drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, October 3, in the Bowling and Billiards Center Activity Room.
Co-sponsored by Alumni Relations, Health Promotion and Wellness, and the Student Wellness Ambassador Team, the Spread the Red Blood Drive is a homecoming tradition that allows Redbirds to use their school spirit to help their community.
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. A single car-accident victim can need up to 100 pints of blood. People with certain illnesses such as cancer and Sickle Cell Anemia also need blood transfusions. Donations help ensure that blood is readily available for whenever someone needs it. Walk-ins will be accepted; however, appointments will cut down on participant’s wait time.
