The Illinois State University Planetarium will present Musica at 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 11, and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, November 12. This is a single-weekend event and will not be offered again.
A girl is mesmerized by the beauty of Nature—a flower, the sound of a forest, a sunset, and the stars overhead—and asks why she senses beauty. A quiet pianist who calls himself Musica shows her the common elements hiding in both music and nature. So begins the endless conversation she has with Musica and the universe.
After Musica, Planetarium staff will present a tour of the current evening sky under the Planetarium dome, exploring the bright stars, constellations, and planets visible from Central Illinois.
Admission to the Illinois State University Planetarium is $4 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-12 and seniors, and $2 for children ages 3-4. For more information, please call the Planetarium’s Skyline at (309) 438-5007 or visit the Planetarium website.
