Matt Dust recognized on Alumni Day
IT alum Matt Dust (’04) was recognized for his professional achievements during Alumni Day of Homecoming 2017. Matt and his wife Sara were guests of Dr. Mary Elaine Califf, Director of the School of Information Technology, at the Alumni Day Luncheon and also enjoyed both the homecoming football game and the School of Theatre and Dance production of William Shakespeare’s All’s Well That Ends Well.
Matt earned his B.S. in Network & Telecommunications Management from the School of Information Technology in 2004. Following graduation, he began his career with CIT Trucks in Normal, Illinois where he quickly advanced to IT Manager. He has been instrumental in supporting the company’s rapid expansion. As his responsibilities continued to develop, he took the lead in business analytics; determining how the company’s raw data could be transformed into useful sales tools including measurement and reporting. He currently serves as Chief Information Officer.
CIT Trucks’ President, Erick Miner, commented, “Matt possesses the innovative mindset, dedicated work ethic and superior leadership abilities that have lead him to be recognized as one of CIT’s most productive and successful executives. Because of Matt’s and his team’s outstanding contributions in the areas of business systems management, information technologies, business analytics and development, and marketing, CIT Trucks is always positioned to take advantage of opportunities.”
Matt is looking forward to the projects that are on the horizon for CIT Trucks.
