Graduate student Mizanur Rahman has published an article in the Journal of Asian and African Studies titled “Triangular Confluence: Islam and Modernity in Bangladesh.”
The article argues that modernity in Bangladesh needs to be understood by going beyond the Secular–Islamist binary, based on the triangular confluence of the impact of the Bengal Renaissance, the rise of Islamism, and the consequence of globalization.
