Professionals from universities that have experienced rapid growth inthe number of international students will be part of a panel on Tuesday, April 10. Sponsored by the Office of International Studies and Programs (OISP) the panel will be from noon-1 p.m. in the Prairie Room of the Bone Student Center.
The panelists will share their experiences and expertise in educating and mentoring international students, and how they have worked with various university and campus constituencies to welcome and support a growing number of international students. Panelists include:
- Mai-Lin Poon, associate director, International Student Life, Indiana University, Bloomington
- Lori West, academic advisor and Coordinator of International Studies Programs, College of Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
- Allison Witt, director of international programs, College of Education, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
