On Wednesday, March 7, Professor Lane Crothers presented an update to his research project titled Rage on the Right: The American Militia Movement from Ruby Ridge to Homeland Security.
Crothers first presented this topic at a department brown bag presentation in 2001 and a book followed in 2002. Crother’s research explores the reasons for the rise and decline of the militia movement in the 1990s and discusses the reemergence of such groups in the last 10 years. A second edition of the book is expected to appear next year.
The presentation was enjoyed by faculty as well as department graduate students.
