Senior Professionals and the American Democracy Project at Illinois State University are once again co-sponsoring a civic engagement service learning grant and are looking to award funds to be used for local, student-led civic engagement projects. Up to $1,000 will be awarded in February and must be used during the 2019 spring semester.
Applications are due Friday, February 8, by 3 p.m.
Senior Professionals is an organization of retired and semi-retired individuals with in-depth backgrounds in many various fields, including business, education, social service, volunteerism, etc. The organization helps in sharing their skills and knowledge with students to enhance their learning outside of a classroom environment.
The American Democracy Project is a cooperative of students, faculty, staff, and administration to promote civic engagement among students both on campus during their time at Illinois State and after graduation in their professional lives.
