Six years after joining the University to lead the men’s Redbird tennis team, Mark Klysner captured his 100th win as a head coach. He reached the milestone during the spring season with victories over the University of Illinois-Springfield and Eastern Illinois University.

“I have to thank all of my players who have played for me in the past and currently,” Klysner said following the accomplishment. “It’s been a fun ride, and now let’s look ahead to 200.”
A native of Denmark, Klysner grew up in Canada. He excelled as a collegiate athlete at the University of South Carolina-Aiken, rising to a national rank in both singles and doubles play. He became a standout on the Canadian Junior National Team, winning more than 30 tournaments throughout North America and Europe. Klysner still competes in lower-level professional events.
