Come One. Come All. Make new memories this year at The Division of Student Affairs alumni and friends homecoming tailgate on Saturday, October 26. Whether you were a Resident or Community Assistant, University Program Board member, Student Government leader, Club Sport athlete, Campus Dining employee, or a host of other leadership roles at Illinois State, we welcome you back home! This year’s tailgate menu and activities include a nacho and baked potato bar, yard games and art projects, provided by the Illinois Art Station. Come show your Redbird pride and take home a mini foam finger.
Two special reunions will also be taking place at the tent – for alumni to see what has changed and what is exactly as they remember!
Current and past staff, graduate assistants, student workers, and volunteers of Student Access and Accommodation Services (SAAS, formerly Disability Concerns) are gathering at the tailgate to share updates about inclusion efforts happening on campus. SAAS has also coordinated a language interpreter to lead alumni in the fight song as the Big Red Marching Band makes their way through tent zone. Join us as we sign and sing together!
All those who hold a special place in their heart for the Bone Student Center are being welcomed back to campus to check out the Brown Ballroom, new dining venues, and third-floor atrium. At the tailgate, University Archives will have photos of the Bone on display and associate director for event services and catering, Barb Dallinger, will be leading tours of the renovated spaces.
