Illinois State University’s student group Feminist Led Activist Movement to Empower (FLAME) is sending out a call for pieces for a performance of The Monologues.
FLAME is currently accepting written submissions for the performance that will take place in April. The organization is seeking monologues, poems, short narratives, or other pieces of writing in any style. The submissions will be considered for performance by the creator or by an actor. Topics can include—but are not limited to—feminism, women’s rights, sexuality, gender inequality, global women’s issues, violence against women, intersectionality, and LGBTQIA.
Submissions can be submitted anonymously or with the author’s name. Submissions are due February 14. Submissions and questions can be sent to kbruce1@ilstu.edu or bljohn5@ilstu.edu.
