When Illinois State University begins its fall 2020 semester, classes will be presented in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formatsUniversity housing and dining facilities will be open to serve students.  

Facilities such as the Bone Student Center, Milner Library, and the Student Fitness Center will welcome the campus community. A wide array of educational opportunities, student organizations, and support services will be part of a rich, engaging, and inclusive campus experience.  

There will be many new guidelines due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to providing a premiere educational experience, Illinois State will focus on ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the University community. 

Additional protocols designed to protect students, faculty, and staff members will be in place. There will be limits on the size of meetings and gatherings, and a high emphasis will be placed on cleanliness and coronavirus prevention.

All planning efforts for the return to campus are aligned with the phases of Governor Pritzker’s Restore Illinois plan, as well as guidance from state and local health officials. Planning for fall 2020 campus operations will continue over the summer months and updates to the recommendations will be shared as appropriate.
