Professor Emeritus Robert Bradley

After a 30-year career with Illinois State University’s Department of Politics and Government, Professor Emeritus Dr. Robert Bradley continues to educate on the topic of civic engagement. He is frequently invited to speak at the Illinois State University Senior Professionals, Luther Oaks Academy, Illinois Wesleyan’s Lunch and Learn series, with a number of community organizations, and through media interviews. His engagement and passion to teach and share his knowledge have not stopped during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Alumni and friends can view two recently-recorded events led by Bradley covering topics related to the coronavirus.

Coronavirus impact on rural versus urban areas

Hear from Dr. Pamela Monroe, designated full professor of child and family studies in the School of Social Work at Louisiana State University, regarding how the coronavirus pandemic has impacted rural versus urban areas and how the state of Louisiana has dealt with the effects.

Coronavirus creates change for higher education

Bradley sits with Illinois State President Emeritus Dr. Al Bowman to discuss Illinois higher education and how the pandemic will affect changes moving forward. Bowman also served as the executive director of the Illinois Board of Higher Education, retiring in December of 2018.
