Illinois State University will award approximately 1,070 baccalaureate degrees and 220 graduate degrees during winter commencement. In the face of these unprecedented times, Illinois State will present the ceremonies online to celebrate the achievements of the 2020 winter graduates. The recorded ceremonies will be available on the Commencement website by December 12.
Included will be remarks by President Larry Dietz and other Illinois State officials as well as a video slideshow featuring the names and/or photos of the winter 2020 graduates. Students were offered the opportunity to submit photos for online recognition. In addition, each graduate will receive a special celebratory package by mail featuring copies of the commencement program book, commemorative tassel, alumni keychain, and diploma cover.
Following state and local guidelines, the University is continuing to explore ways to host an in-person celebratory experience for all 2020 graduates in spring 2021. Graduates who are interested in receiving future communication about these plans should visit the Graduation Services website to register for email updates.
