The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders invites you to a public meeting with the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). The CAA is seeking public comment as part of its reaccreditation review of the clinical doctoral program in audiology and the master’s program in speech-language pathology. Programs scheduled for reaccreditation site visits are responsible for soliciting public comment from students and consumers by holding a public meeting during the scheduled site visit. Individuals who wish to provide such input may do so by attending the virtual public meeting and/or submitting written comments by February 7.
Date: Monday, February 22, 2021
Time: 5:00 p.m. (CST)
Location: Online via Zoom videoconferencing
To attend this virtual public meeting, please register online through the link above by February 15, 2021. This RSVP will ask for your full name, email address, cell phone number, and Zoom name (if different from full name). Zoom link information will be sent closer to the date of the meeting.
If you are unable to attend, you are able to submit written comments by February 7, 2021, which is no later than 15 days before the first day of the scheduled two-day site visit on February 22–23 2021. Please note that all comments provided must relate to a program’s compliance with the published Standards for Accreditation of Graduate Education Programs in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and must identify the specific program seeking reaccreditation with the CAA. Comments not meeting these requirements will not be considered, and the individual or group who submitted the comments will be so notified by the CAA.
