Milner Library now has a resource guide focusing on providing users with information on how to find educational, campus, and community support surrounding sensitive topics. Created by Milner’s IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access) Committee, the Sensitive Subjects Guide focuses on topics that many people may find difficult to discuss openly, including but not limited to food insecurity, gender, mental health, and relationships.

The new guide is organized to provide library users with the means to do searches for materials of their choosing and provides a variety of call number ranges to kick off searches. Additionally, the IDEA Committee has curated lists of campus, local community, and national community resources to encourage patrons to reach beyond the library for any help they may need.

The IDEA Committee recognizes that it is impossible for this guide to be completely comprehensive and encourage users to reach out with any suggestions. Purchase requests may be filled out on Milner Library’s website.
