The Illinois State University (ISU) College of Education Early Childhood (ECE) Online-Workforce Program is accepting applicants for the spring 2023 semester. The potential for a full scholarship is available to all prospective students through the Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity Scholarship Program.
The 100% online program is designed for individuals currently working with children birth through five years of age with an associate’s degree, Gateway Level 4, and experience in the early childhood field. This two-year, online program allows working professionals to earn their bachelor’s degree and PEL (Professional Educator License) while continuing to work. Upon completion of the program and licensure requirements, students will also receive an Early Childhood Special Education letter of approval. This approval enables the holder to teach special education in pre-kindergarten.
ISU’s program is built for student success. The program’s cohort model gives structure to the plan of study while still fostering student relationships and support, making it a convenient and community-based educational process.
Additional features of the program include mentors, tutors, and specialized academic advisors who are uniquely equipped to assist non-traditional students at every stage of the process. Faculty and staff understand the specialized needs of the student body as working professionals, parents, and caregivers.
Spring classes begin January 17, so apply soon. Learn more by registering for one of the spring 2023 info sessions available via Zoom. Professionals interested in the program can also fill out the pre-admissions form to begin their journey with the ECE Workforce Program.
