Drag Royalty, a new registered student organization (RSO) at Illinois State University, will host the first-ever Holiday Drag Show at 7 p.m. December 9, 2022, in the Brown Ballroom.
Show tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased here.
A large part of the proceeds of the show will go to Colorado Gives, which is helping with costs in the wake of the Club Q mass shooting.
“Club Q spends time with young people who are interested in learning the performance art of drag and this is exactly the purpose of the new Drag Royalty RSO,” said Drag Royalty Advisor Dr. Byron Craig, an assistant professor in the School of Communication at Illinois State.
Drag Royalty aims to pay homage to the art of drag through education and performance. The Holiday Drag Show will feature performances by Drag Royalty members Rebellion, Lincoln Logge, Niki, Jakai, and Portia Lynn Snaps.
