The Office of the President is hosting a retirement reception honoring Administrative Assistant to the President Dave Bentlin from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022, in the Circus Room of the Bone Student Center. The University community is invited to attend. A program will be at 3 p.m.
Bentlin is retiring after 37 years of service at Illinois State. Prior to his current position in the Office of the President, he held similar positions in Student Affairs and University Advancement; before that he was support staff for two grant projects in the College of Education (COE). His very first job at ISU was in what was then called Media Services. Bentlin has been recognized numerous times during his Illinois State career for his dedicated service, campus activities, and community involvement. He was awarded the Lighthouse Award in 2001, the Civil Service Distinguished Service Award in 2006, and the David A. Strand Diversity Achievement Award in 2017.
