Students enrolled in Illinois State’s Early Childhood Education-Online Workforce Program may qualify for a scholarship offered through the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) to cover the full cost of attendance.

ISAC is offering the Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity (ECACE) Scholarship to allow the early childhood workforce the opportunity to obtain a bachelor’s degree and teaching license. In order to qualify for this scholarship, students must have an associate’s degree, a Gateway Level 4 credential and currently work or have worked in an early childhood setting with children birth through five years of age. If eligible, this scholarship could cover the full cost of attendance, including books and technology.

In addition to a bachelor’s degree and Early Childhood Profession Educator License (PEL), students will receive an Early Childhood Special Education letter of approval. This approval enables the holder to teach special education in pre-kindergarten.

Becky Pajak, a student currently enrolled in the ECE program who received the ECACE scholarship, spoke of this opportunity: “If I hadn’t gotten the scholarship or joined the online program, I don’t think I would have been able to go back and get my bachelors with my lifestyle.”

Spring classes begin January 17th. Individuals interested in the program can register for one of the Spring 2023 Information Sessions available via zoom or complete the pre-admissions form to begin.
