On January 19, Dr. Michael Hendricks, the Department of Psychology’s Dr. Jordan Arellanes, and Chang Su-Russell, received $2,600 in research funds from The Society for the Teaching of Psychology’s Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Research Grant program.
Their proposal, “An IDEA to Begin Cultivating a Collectivist Community on Campus: Increase Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access Courses,” will fund their ongoing interdisciplinary research on inclusion, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA) within their classrooms. They began working on this research together in 2020 and recently presented some of their findings at Illinois State University’s University-Wide Teaching & Learning Symposium on January 11.
