The Office of Parking and Transportation will be hosting an open house to answer questions about License Plate Recognition (LPR) from 1-3 p.m Tuesday, April 25, in the Old Main Room of the Bone Student Center.
LPR is currently being used to enforce metered areas on campus. This semester, the office has been testing the use of LPR for parking permits with the goal of implementing in full for the 2023-2024 school year. The new system will eliminate the need for physical permits for most individuals on campus.
At the open house, Parking employees will share information about the new technology and how this will impact parking on campus.
