Grant Anderson ’11 was awarded the Outstanding Young Alumni Award on April 21. Anderson is a graduate of Illinois State’s Department of Politics and Government. After graduation, he served as CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs in Bloomington-Normal and Southern California. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 2021.
Anderson spoke to current legal studies students about his experiences as a first-generation college and law student. In his speech accepting the award, Anderson recognized current and former POL faculty members Professor Erik Rankin, Dr. Lori Riverstone-Newell, and Bob Bradley as being helpful mentors during his time at Illinois State.
